elmenus is a food ordering app in Egypt. I was responsible for optimizing the home page restaurants recommender system, by developing the main model, collecting feedback from users and A/B testing. and also provided management with insightful analytics from time to time.

Trendak is a social media analytics company, focused mainly on arabic content. This was my first experience as a data scientist, I worked as a Joker within a strong, diverse team of data scientists. I did everything, learned from everyone. I was then apointed as an acting team lead during my last couple of months.

Cofounder & Marketing Manager

Ezaii.com was a "know how" community platform for everything tailored for egyptian consumers. We cofounded this startup back during college, then we were incubated by Injaz Egypt. During this period I focused on digital marketing, I was responsible for the fan page, leading a cross-functional team of designers and content creators. I also worked alot with Illustrator, making easy designs and doing the work when the there was a manpower problem. Checkout our work on Facebook here.

Web / Freelance

I'm extremely proud of this project. I travelled and stayed a couple of days first as a guest, during this period I gathered requirements from owners. Interacted with staff in Kitchen, waiters until I understood the whole picture.
It was important that the workflow is simple so that staff could use it, so I started paying attention in supermarkets and food chains and see how their systems were designed. There are three apps working together here. Reservation system, Kitchen/Cashier system and Inventory management system. I developed everything, Architecture, UI and backend. And I'm mostly proud of the UI as the staff loved it.

Seereal is an emerging startup in Berlin, focusing on realstate analytics. I was responsible for making clean exploratory analytics notebooks as a reference for other scientists and engineers who wanted to understand the data better. I worked with data engineers translating all the exploratory work into ETL jobs on AWS.
I also devloped a housing price prediction module with accuracy around 80% .

Web / Freelance

Client wanted to automate monitoring competitors prices. I developed tool that scrapes more than 10 websites daily, compares prices and availability each day for each product per competitor, displaying products with any changes at the top, all in a nice looking dashboard
All work was done using Scrapy, Django & AWS S3.
